Level 7 Certificate in EDI

1. Background

The Level 7 Certificate in ‘Equity, Inclusion & Organisational Diversity’ is one of three Level 7 qualifications offered by the Institute. The others are the Level 7 Diploma in ‘Equity, Inclusion & Organisational Diversity’ and the Level 7 Diploma in ‘Strategic Leadership, Change and Innovation’.

The Level 7 Certificate in ‘Equity, Inclusion & Organisational Diversity’ is accredited by NCFE.  It is modular in design, and has a strong focus on understanding equality legislation, leading diverse teams and workforce, and leadership for equity. It is intended to provide learners with knowledge and skills to interrogate and support their organisations’ equity, diversity & inclusion (EDI) work. 

Taught elements of the programme, and assessments, are approximately 60 hours and sessions are ‘taught’ in blocks of 2 or 3 hours.  To achieve the Level 7 Certificate in ‘Equity, Inclusion & Organisational Diversity’, all module assignments must be undertaken and passed.

4. Briefing Sessions

We are holding a number of Level 7 Certificate: Briefing Sessions. They are for those who are interested in finding out more about the Level 7 Certificate and to ask questions. The dates and times of the Briefing Sessions are:

• 8th Oct – 10am-10:45am
• 8th November – 10:30am-11:15am
• 3rd December – 4pm-4:45pm

All Briefing Sessions will be held online, via Google and will be accessible via a link that will be sent to you after filling out this registration form. We look forward to seeing you at one of our Briefing Sessions.

5. Who Is the Level 7 Certificate Aimed At? 

The Level 7 Certificate in ‘Equity, Inclusion & Organisational Diversity’ is open to anyone, in any industry or sector with an interest in equity, diversity & inclusion, and/or responsibility for leading equity, diversity & inclusion at organisational or sub-organisational level. In other words, this programme is open to: 

• Teachers and school leaders
• Teaching Fellows and lecturers
• Directors from any industry or sector
• Project specialists from any industry or sector
• Experienced or newly appointed EDI managers/ teams 
• Human resource managers / staff in any organisational type and sector
• Chief executives from any organisational type or industry
• Any individual looking to develop or extend their understanding of EDI

To pursue the Level 7 Certificate, learners will need an undergraduate degree (in any subject), or an equivalent qualification, plus a minimum of 2 years work experience.
